Japanese Garden Shears For Sale In Brisbane
Kihachi garden shears with hollow ground blades
Our “Kihachi” shears are strong and versatile. They have a special indentation pattern on their 240-270mm blades. The hollow ground blade at the bottom of the blade is curled inward to capture sap, gum, and debris. Because of the ability to keep the blades clean, the cut is more effective. This is one of the reasons these shears retain their sharpness longer than others, together with the premium “Yasuki Hagane” Japanese steel. These shears contain a hardened steel blade that enables them to cut through harder stems than the Kenshin Shears.
High-grade Japanese steel known as Yasuki Hagane, or “blue grade,” was produced by Hitachi Steel to make these Kihachi Garden Shears. The shears originate in Miki, a city in western Japan that is well known for its handcrafted steel goods. Since 1946, the artisan maker “Yoshioka Edged-Tool Works” has been honing and proving its abilities.
